i think if i practiced all week, i'd still have trouble setting up t1.

For T1 I have to brake before the black box before the first distance number board. If I'm dead straight it doesn't lock up any of the wheels.

i believe that box is a camera. yes, i started using it after lap 2 or 3

I usually call it the 'cam box' for short, but didn't want to (further) confuse anyone.

Decent race. New guys did a decent job being aware of cars around them, pretty tough to get out of the way with the speed differential.

Thanks to the Texas contingent for joining in the fun. Didn't really have the speed tonight, but managed to keep my nose clean, which paid off.

Sorry, again, to Agent for ruining his race. I got into T1 too hot, went through the grass, and went sideways on the racing line right in front of him. After watching the replay, I don't see how he could have avoided hitting me. We both lost a lot of time limping around to the pits.
After my second stop, I came out between Clacks and Rooster. I almost slowed down to let Rooster by, but was able to gap him on fresher tires. I eventually caught Clacksman and unlapped myself, with the help of slower traffic.

I thought it was interesting that you caught me later on in the run rather than immediately on the fresh tires. With 10 seconds or so back to Rooster I wasn't about to press traffic at all.

Robiker, that spot in t1 is famous for ejecting racers back onto the track. i know it too. ok, so you had some trouble and spun. typically, a few positions are lost but just straighten out and get back to speed. my problem with the whole thing is my non-reaction to whats happening in front of me. the best 'out' is to go left across the grass, or off to the right if i can get my speed down fast enough, or simply slam on the brakes. unfortunately, all i did was stare at your drivers door and crush it.

a simple spinout as you did is gonna happen, but i expect better of myself when i have options. causing an avoidable wreck that forces both drivers to limp around the track smoking and spewing tire rubber is not good driving. sorry buddy.

You only had four laps on your tires when I pitted, so you were still faster than me until the last five laps.
