NASCAR RRS Pre-Season | Saturday July 14 | GP/D

Did some laps last night and this will be rather interesting Managed a 27.5 but lacked any consistency. Only way I could get around half decent was to stretch 2nd gear way out. Oh, btw, this thing munches RH rubber at an alarming rate when you are spinning/locking the tires

lol, i wanted to ask about the locking up. I was having a lot of trouble with the brakes.\


at 5 5 they were locking up right away so i changed them to 3 2 and it was still locking up, even at 2 1. I tried 1 1 but then i had the issue of braking power.

I really like the track though. Should be fun.

Once the tires get some heat, higher speeds and heavy braking are fine. As your speed decreases it becomes easier to lock em up. So you will have to trail off the brakes as you reach the end of your brake zone and before you start you turn in. Was running 3/2 last night but may drop that like you did.

did some testing and as you said about the temps, they went up and braking became easier. BUT i'm still having trouble staying on track around turn 3. Thats the only place where i'm still getting out of shape. I"m tip toe'ing but at least i can get around the place now.

I had brakes about 4/0 or 3/0 (don't recall), they worked fine in a straight line but I was getting the inside front locking up if I was turning AT ALL while braking. Also I'm used to 0ABS so 'fine' to me may be a really odd sort of 'fine'.

Sorry for the bump after you passed me, Group. Wasn't ready for that much draft and didn't brake early enough.
Was a good, close race until lap 20.

No problem robiker, gotta say you drove quite a race. BTW, thanks for all the room when I bombed you going into the chicane early. We were so even I figured a needed to the the opportunity when it showed itself. Had a blast trying to manage the gap until you got back by. Congrats again
